…or the painting crew drops the computer…you hope it will never happen at your district, but if it does how can you be confident that your LunchBox data is secure when disaster strikes?
Recovery of critical data can be almost painless if a
methodical back-up routine is followed without fail.
LunchBox POS Back Office and Site Manager include built-in back-up processes that save a single data back-up file daily on the local computer. There are options to create separate data back-up files for each day of the week. We recommend that these back-up files be copied to network drives, external hard drives, CD-ROM disks, ZIP disks, USB thumb drives or similar devices. This procedure is known as “supplemental back-up”. Its goal is to ensure that copies of data back-ups are kept physically separate from the local computer where they were created and is the best assurance that your data can be recovered if the need arises.
